Flash! Read Joe Jarrell's article on Ralph on the May 30, 2004 edition of the Chronicle Pink Section!

Currently in production is my first longform documentary on the amazing multi-instrumentalist super genius artist Ralph Carney! Based in San Francisco, Ralph, a native of Akron, Ohio, has been an integral part of the indie music scene. In addition to his solo projects, he has played with many other artists including Tom Waits, Marc Ribot, the B–52s, Tin Huey, and local acts like Griddle, the Blue Room Boys, and Oranj Symphonette. He is currently performing in the band CarneyBallJohnson, just off a recent tour with Les Claypool's Frog Brigade.

Combining live and studio footage with various interviews and interesting visuals and sounds, This is Ralph Carney will be the film that puts both Ralph and Laura on the map! For a sneak peak, check out the trailers below and let me know what you think!

At the moment, I am in fundraising mode for this project. If any of you out there wants to , you’ll get a credit on a really great project along with my undying love and appreciation.
